Funds to help Bob Sczerzen

I got a call from Emerson hospital in Concord, MA  in early January that my dads heart is failing.

I am devastated and utterly emotionally torn from this. He was my best friend, I was his only child. He was admitted into the hospital in September, when I flew out from California to Massachusetts to care for him, until he was stable. I knew he was going to need my care, but I did not know that his health was deteriorating this bad.


I had plans to move across the country, and care for him the first week of March, but if I had known about the seriousness of his illness, I wouldn’t have returned to California at all. I thought we would have a few years left together, but hospice is now involved and his passing is inevitable at this point. 

About 5 years ago the doctors told me my mother had at 1-5 years left to live, she didn’t even make it a full year. I am terrified this will happen with my dad as well. Being 27 and having no parents is surreal. I just want to be there for him.

I am honestly embarrassed asking for any sort of financial help,  I have never liked to, especially since so so so many friends reached out to me the last time my father needed help.   I’m really not sure what to do other than  reach out to my friends, and the friends of my dad for help.

So many short/long term plans I need to consider and its overwhelming. I’m currently now in Maynard taking care of him full time. He can’t be left alone without super vision.

Honestly, every single person who has donated to help my father, and I, in the past, I am eternally grateful for. I appreciate you all so much for your love and support. I feel very, very, alone in a dark place, have for a while now. I do know however,  that I have I unbelievable support from my friends, even if we have only hung out a few times, we are online friends, or I have known you for +20 years. 

My goals from this go fund me is help with travel expenses/medical bills/helping him with things around the house that he needs to help make his life easier.
