Funds to walk again

Hello, my name is Jessica and I'm close friend of the family that is in need of help. On September 15, my son Brandon and Sly and their best friend Samir traveled to New York to attend a party for the rapper, Asap Rocky. The night started out as a celebration but took an unexpected turn when they were preparing to make their way back home through public transportation. While waiting for the train Samir took a look to see if there was any signs of the train, when he unexpectantly lost his balance to the point he fell over and hit his head on the rail resulting in him being knocked unconsciousness. Luckily enough a bystander called the authorities to slow the train down due to an individual being on the tracks. The train slowed down but unfortunately it did not come to a complete stop which resulted in him being ran over by the first train car. Thanks to the fast responding EMTs, caring witnesses, and the staff at Harlem Hospital, Samir is alive and making progress. He has a long journey ahead of him since both of his legs were bilaterally amputated.
Samir is a loving brother, amazing friend and an outstanding son. He is a very bright and caring individual with a vibrant energy that could bring light to any dark ambiance. At the young age of 23, Samir makes his own music, designs his own clothes, and even motivates his peers with his positive outlook on life. As you can imagine this tragic accident will bring about many challenges: mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. Although many challenges will arise, I'm confident he will overcome them with his strong faith in the Lord and with the support of friends and family.
Samir was discharged from Harlem Hospital yesterday and is currently starting inpatient rehabilitation. All donations will be used to assist in his day to day life and to help him reach his overall goal for him to walk again. Thank you for your support and I ask that you continue to keep him and his family in your prayers.
