Fund Their Dreams
Donation protected
Do you remember what it was like to be ten years old and full of dreams? When imagination ruled your world and you believed you could be and do anything you wanted? Maybe you reached these dreams or maybe you're still trying. But now imagine that when you were young, someone stole these dreams away and you never got them back. The very dreams that made you believe in living. Where would you be now? Every child has dreams, and every child deserves the chance to see them come true.
This is why we're asking for your help. Because at this very moment, the dreams of 7 children are on the line...
Julia, Brenda, Majo, Nicole, Luz, Leydin, and Melvin.
According to the United Nations, El Salvador is now one of the most dangerous countries in the world for children. Gangs control most of the country and take kids as young as age 8... boys to collect extortion money and girls for pleasure, many of whom end up pregnant by age 12. Of those who haven't been taken, many are abused and abandoned. They are fragile children caught in the hands of violence and poverty.
But in the midst of this ongoing tragedy is a special place called Mi Casa International. Mi Casa was founded 25 years ago as a home for kids who were orphaned, abandoned, or abused-- or all three. They send the kids to a private, bilingual school because receiving an education and becoming fluent in English is the only chance they have to escape from this life to one with a promising future. Above everything, the staff at Mi Casa are committed to raising children who know The Lord. Next to this, they dedicate their lives to helping these kids realize their dreams. It is truly a beautiful place that has worked miracles in the lives of many children and will continue to do so for as long as it exists.
Right now, the 7 kids above are still waiting for funding to attend school in January. An English education is essential for these kids to break out of the cycle of abuse and poverty and the only chance many of them will have at living the lives they imagine. Will you please consider helping to fund their dreams?

Enrollment fees: $223 per child x 7 children ($1,561 total)
Books (English & Spanish): $230 per child x 7 children ($1,610)
Uniforms: $100 per child x 7 children ($700 total)
School supplies: $75 per child x 7 children ($525 total)
Monthly tuition: $60 per child per month for 10 months x 7 children ($4,200 total)
The total expense to fund one child for the entire year is $1,228. The total fundraising goal also includes funding for English tutors to work with all the kids at the home for this upcoming year (2 tutors Monday-Friday, 2 hours per day): $400 per month for 12 months ($4,800 total).
$14,500 seems like a lot, but God uses people to do miracles, and we believe this is going to be one of them. Please remember what it was like as a child to dream and prayerfully consider helping them and sharing this with others. What a wonderful Christmas gift that would be! Each of these 7 kids were orphaned, abandoned, abused, or a combination of these. But the way they love, the talents they have, and the laughter and joy they bring to the world are proof that God hasn't abandoned them... He has extraordinary plans for them!
"Look at the nations and watch, and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."
