Are You Compassionate and Generous

Dear Friend,
What if you were living on borrowed time?
William K. Walker is fighting for his life. In 1999, he was diagnosed with end stage renal disease. He has been serving as a caregiver to his elderly father, but that task has now become extremely difficult because of William’s worsening condition. His illness has also made daily living, house maintenance and paying bills challenging. During this difficult time, he is thankful for the love and support of his friends and family. Now doctors say a kidney transplant is critical to his survival.
This has been a difficult time for William, as he is not able to be as active as he once was. Before his health began to decline, he enjoyed dancing, painting, biking, swimming and playing with his 2 Labradors, but these days, his activities are quite limited. He has great difficulty managing daily tasks, cleaning, helping with my care ( his father)- I am 78 , disabled, in a walker). William is looking forward to being healthy enough to finish his degree, travel more and be free from dialysis.
Unfortunately, William’s hope for a new life comes at a very high price.
The average kidney transplant costs approximately $335,000. And, that’s only the beginning. Even with insurance, which will cover the cost of his transplant, William still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and anti-rejection medications. Post-transplant medications are very expensive, and they’re as critical to his survival as the transplant itself. Furthermore, his transplant center is located 30 miles away from his home and driving there frequently will incur substantial travel expenses.
What if your life depended on the compassion and generosity of others?
Your gift—of $25, $50, $100 or more—will provide William with the financial support he desperately needs.
Many Thanks!
