Funeral Aid for Lillie, a Community Pillar

Greetings Everyone,

My name is Christopher Hartway, Jr. and I have launched this GoFundMe for the purpose of garnering love & support from our family and community. We are seeking your support in helping us to bury my grandmother Lillie Bell Kirk (2/6/1939 - 12/23/2024).

Our Progress:

Grandma had two insurance policies, but this only covers half of the costs for burial expenses as well as funeral arrangements. We are seeking your assistance in raising $6000 to help us honor her legacy, as we provide her the ceremony fitting of a Queen.

Her Story:

Monday December 23, 2024 @ 4:30pm, Grandma Kirk, passed away and journeyed to the great beyond. She survived to see 85 years of life. Ultimately, she fought stage 4 colon cancer and gave it her strongest effort.

This woman here was a fighter. She maintained the power to fight for her life, family, faith and core values. This ability stemmed from her greatest superpower, her incredible capacity to love like no other.

She was a committed member of The United House of Prayer for all people for over 50 years! She helped to lead the singers of faith choir, while serving as a Chef in the church's community kitchen. She was loved by many for her beautiful smile and spirit. She dedicated her life to protect and provide for her family while serving her community. During examinations, she told her doctor that her wellness goal was, "to get well and serve at the church."

Lillie Bell from Augusta, GA had a hand in raising me. She showed me the power in following the Lord. She made sure that I had a decent education. She taught all of her grandchildren to read, write and use arithmetic. She sacrificed so much for her late husband(s), children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The same goes for her siblings, friends, and extended church family. You could never outgive this Aquarius of a woman.

She passed away surrounded by loved ones and maintained her love and faith to the end of her time.
