Funeral Expenses for Alexis Sowa

Alexis Sowa worked with underprivileged and troubled children as well as abused women in Fresno, California. She loved her children Ryan and Julia, camping, horses, dogs, and of course, the love of her life, Steve Sowa. Steve, my uncle, and Alexis found each other much later in their lives and they have been partners for over 7 years. Together, they participated in multiple community outreach programs in Fresno, California. Nearly two years ago they lost everything in a fire when their home burned down. This did not stop their strong marriage or their strong faith. Alexis lovingly and unselfishly gave up her job for the last 18 months, and nursed my Uncle back to health after his severe medical illnesses. They were just getting back on their feet. Tragically, Alexis was killed in a car accident on the way to visiting her children yesterday, October 16th. Now, my uncle needs help.

Anybody who has met my Uncle Steve knows that his entire life has been spent helping others-- whether this was community outreach in Fresno, California, as a USMC Veteran, or even helping broken-down cars on the Golden State Freeway, highway 99, or on 180—the road on which his beloved wife, Alexis, died. Steve has spent his life helping others and I am asking you to please give him a hand in paying for his wife’s funeral expenses.

All of the money donated will be used to help my Uncle, Steve Sowa, pay for Alexis' funeral expenses  San Diego by Saturday, October 29th, 2016 in San Diego.  Any little bit helps--my family and I are extremely grateful and thankful for all of those who are willing to donate to help him in this time of need.
