Funeral & Hospital Expenses, Tragic 11/27 Accident
On Thanksgiving Day Katrina Dunnick along with her children Miracle, Second, David and step daughter Olivia went to spend thanksgiving with family. They took photos of their car ride to thanksgiving lunch, shared pictures of Miracle’s new car she had received the day before, and enjoyed their Thanksgiving like so many of us did that day.
That evening they were involved in a tragic accident on Interstate 30 when an 18-wheeler reared into the back of their car. Katrina, Olivia, and Second lost their lives. David the 2 year old and Miracle were admitted in critical condition at children’s hospital. Their family is suffering from so much loss, and on top of the emotional trauma, now must find a way to pay for 3 funerals and the many hospital expenses to come. No one should be forced to face this emotional burden while
also having to worry about finding a way to afford burial for their loved ones.
I remember holding Miracle at the Care Center, a feeding and clothing center for the less fortunate that my grandmother Brenda Burton ran for 32 years in Benton. I grew up spending time with Katrina and her sisters at the care center almost every Thursday night that I can remember. When Katrina had baby Miracle, I distinctly remember getting to hold her for the first time. She was a baby with big brown eyes and just so precious... Throughout the years my grandmother has stayed connected to their family through the care center, and through other avenues of her involvement.
The thought that this sweet family would have to deal with this tragedy alone is more than we could bear. For that reason, we are setting up a fund for them to help cover the medical and funeral expenses in their very near future in the hopes we can help.
100% OF ALL DONATIONS will be going to the family, specifically the beneficiary of Tony Dunnick (the late Katrina Dunnick’s husband, and father of Second, David, and Olivia). No amount is too small, and no prayer will go unnoticed. This family really needs us all right now, I beg and pray that you will find a way to help. ♥️
