Funeral and burial expenses for Doug Schilling
Donation protected
Update:
The goal has been raised from $5,000 to $7,000. Doug’s services and burial will run around $10,000 and as stated below, he did not have a life insurance policy and his death came as a shock to all of us. My family and I will forever be thankful for each and every one of you.
Doug’s services will be held at Richard, Raff, and Dunbar in Springfield on April 13th. Viewing at 11:00am with the funeral immediately following.
My name is Brittany Bowens. Doug Schilling was my younger brother. I created this account on behalf of my sister in law, Doug’s wife, Kailey, to help with financial burden in upcoming days as we prepare to lay my brother to rest.
Doug passed away yesterday, April 5th as a result of a car crash in Champaign County. If you knew my brother, you loved him. It’s as simple as that. He was a literal teddy bear and he loved to make people laugh. He loved his family, his friends and the world will be a darker place without him in it. Doug was only 30 years old and had no life insurance policy set in place. He leaves behind 2 young kids and his wife and a whole bunch of extended family.
Any donations made will be used to pay for funeral arrangements and burial. Should there be anything left over, it will be for Kailey to use as she feels is needed to help her and their babies adjust to life without my brother. No amount is too small, and if you can not give, a share is very much appreciated. Thank you♥️
