Funeral and burial expenses for Jayden I. Mejia

Dear family and friends, we are currently dealing with the sudden, tragic and painfully devastating loss of our son, brother, nephew and friend, Jayden Isaiah Mejia, who was just 15 years old. This GoFundMe was created to accept donations to cover necessary funeral and burial expenses.

Jayden was a warm, kind and bright soul who lit up the room with his vibrant energy and made his family and friends laugh with his silly and joking demeanor. Jayden was the youngest of his paternal siblings and the middle child among his maternal siblings but his uniqueness made him one of a kind and we all loved him unconditionally.

He was intelligent and inquisitive, caring and charismatic. He loved the action of watching anime and the excitement of playing video games on his Xbox. When Jayden wasn't creating memories with his brothers and sisters, whom he loved so dearly, he'd nurture and care for his pets the same way his dad and family nurtured and cared for him.

Hopeful for a fruitful future filled with opportunity and prosperity, Jayden and his family relocated from New York City to Baltimore less than a year ago. Unfortunately, Jayden's life was senselessly cut short on August 27, 2022 when he was tragically found lifeless and alone in a local pool in Towson, Maryland.

Jayden passed away without his father to hold his hand, calm the fear that plagued his last moments, or comfort him as he fought for his life. Our baby deserved better then, and he deserves better now.

The young prince who brought joy to our lives since the day he entered this world, is now gone. Like most kids, Jayden was preparing to head back to school and begin the 10th grade and get one step closer to graduating and living his dreams of joining the military and serving our country.

But now? Now we must prepare for his funeral and final farewell.

We'll never see our baby's infectious smile or hear his precious voice ever again. We'll never feel his tender embrace and he'll never experience life's many milestones.
