Funeral and expenses fund for Rick Spaulding

Hi, I’m Denise Toupin, and I'm fundraising for our dear friend Ricky Spaulding, a wonderful partner, the absolute best friend one could be blessed with, and a father, papaw, a brother, son, and so much more. His family meant everything to him and he was happiest surrounded by them all. Anyone who met Rick found themselves smiling as he truly made this world a better place with his infectious smile, and fantastic sense of humor. He loved making someone’s day by putting a smile on their face or making them laugh. He, along with his partner Deeva owned Musically Speaking DJ Service for 16 years and absolutely loved music and making a difference especially in the lives of the kids at West Midland Family Center each Friday night. Always there for anyone who ever needed him, he went above and beyond for everybody. He also loved working with special needs children, and the people he worked with at Valley Entertainment Center. Glioblastoma is extremely rare and the fastest, deadliest most devastating form of brain cancer. Rick was first diagnosed and given 3-4 months in September of 2020. Through his strength, and courage he defied all odds and continued making people laugh and smile for 25 months, never losing his sense of humor through it all. As there was no life insurance, any donations will go to his family to cover funeral costs and several other expenses incurred during this really tough time.
