Medical expenses for Malissa Zuniga

Hello family and friends, we are raising funds for our dearest friend and coworker, Malissa Zuniga. Malissa is 48years old and was diagnosed with Stage IV Carcinoid Cancer last year and there is no cure for this type and stage of cancer. She received radiation and chemotherapy but unfortunately, the radiation damaged her liver and she has now been diagnosed with End Stage Liver Failure. Due to her cancer, she is not a candidate for a liver transplant and her doctors have told her that they will make her as comfortable as possible in the time she has left. This is very heart-wrenching because Malissa has lost her mother and sister to cancer as well within the last 2-3 years. Malissa has a heart of gold and has always been there willing and available to help anyone who was in need. Malissa has always maintained a positive attitude no matter the situation and she is the greatest friend anyone could ever have. Malissa has a loving and caring husband, Joe, and they’ve been together for 26 years and married for 23 years. They have 3 fabulous children—Jonathan (24yrs) and twins Jacqueline and Joseph (21yrs). Their sons Jonathan and Joseph are special needs and Joseph requires total care. We are asking for donations to help with funeral and medical expenses. We would like to take the burden of these expenses off of them so they won’t have to worry about how they will cover these expenses and they can concentrate on giving Malissa the best quality of life while she is still with us.
