As many of you may know Kaylie Ladd, 18, of Chesterville, Maine who was a Senior at Mt. Blue High School was in a horrific vehicle accident on Route 2 in New Sharon on May 02, 2023 and passed away tragically.
Her mother Melanie along with her step-father Andrew and our entire family would like to thank all of you for your heartfelt condolences and some privacy to mourn as a family. We understand people have wanted to express their sympathy directly but as I am sure you can understand this is such a traumatic and devastating time for all of us and time to privately grieve was needed to process.
Kaylie was a very sweet and amazing young lady with a bright and promising future ahead of her. She was an inspirational young artist who loved to draw, read and spend time with her family who miss her dearly. She had such a compassionate soul and she loved animals. Family and friends who knew her described her as an amazing friend and an incredible artist. She touched so many lives and will always be loved and missed by so many people.
We love that we live in such a wonderful community where everyone wants to contribute in some way so we set up this Go Fund Me account to contribute monetary funds towards the funeral arrangements and memorial for Kaylie.

If donations exceed the cost of the services provided for the funeral and memorial the remainder will be put into a scholarship fund and given to another inspiring young artist in Kaylie’s name.
