Funeral and Memorial for Stella

Hello to our family and friends from Jeffrey and Brenda Martin, Stella's children.

Stella's passing was very sudden and completely unexpected by all of her family members. She collapsed at home with her son Jeffrey on the evening of August 14th. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. She was met there with her son, daughter and sister, Helen. We learned that she had suffered a severe aneurysm and 3 strokes. Our family held out hope for the next 6 days that she could recover until finally the doctors explained that if she survived she would not be able to walk or no longer have her personality and be extremely disabled.

We are blessed that our beloved mother and sister expressed her wishes to all of us that she would not wish to live in that way. On August 19th our hearts were broken as we removed life support. She was surrounded by her sisters, children, neices and nephews. Stella held on until the next day breathing on her own. She passed suddenly and peacefully 10 minutes after her grandchildren arrived to say goodbye. Stella had a beautiful heart and soul. She has 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren that carry a part of her into the world.
