Funeral & Related Costs for Jordan Shelley
Donation protected
On May 24th, 2022, 22 year old, Jordan Shelley was on his way to work as an EMT and was killed by a drunk driver on I5 South at the Ship Canal Bridge. His girlfriend Cydni, roomate/bestfriend Ethan, and dog Zulla are putting this together as we deal with his belongings and obligations.
Raised funds will contribute to the duration of his rent, transitions of care for Zulla and any unexpected costs with his absence. Excess funds will be transparently donated to an organization he cared about in his honor (to be determined, if relevant).
Everyone who knew Jordan could attest to his joyful spirit, his innate ability to make you feel comfortable in any situation, and his kindness to everyone. He held deep unconditional love and loyalty for the people in his life. He overcame unthinkable odds; adopted as a child from Ethiopia, he had to learn a new culture and language. For Jordan, obstacles were simply things he found a way to overcome. He graduated high school with an AA degree and attended the University of Washington, graduating in two years and obtaining his Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry at age 20. From an early age, Jordan wanted to help others and dreamed of becoming a physician. He attended EMT school in Seattle and recently began his interim career as an EMT with AMR. He loved his job and the opportunity to make a positive difference in other people's lives. With his experience, he was excited to begin the prep for his MCAT and medical school plans.
He will be deeply missed, and we are looking forward to honoring him. We ask for some space to grieve and process everything.
