Funeral Arrangements for Bartholomew Smith Jr.

“When my father didn’t have my hand, he had my back”
Friends near and far, our family needs your help. Christmas Eve for our family will never be the same. As we celebrated the holiday, awaiting Bart’s arrival, our angel’s life had been taken. It is in the suddenness of this tragedy that we humbly ask for your help during this heart- breaking time. While we will never understand this devastating loss, it is our profound mission to return Bart’s body to his mother, to be buried next to his father, Bartholomew Smith, Senior. Both Bart and his father served our country with nobility, courage and valor in the United States Army.
Bart died how he lived, helping others. On Christmas Eve, while home wrapping gifts and preparing for the holidays with his family, he was called to assist someone in need. Without hesitation, he left to assist and through an unidentified altercation, he was murdered. In the same city that he ventured to with great intentions, dreams and a plan for his future, wanting to share his gift of lyrical aptitude, he also met his demise in the same place that held such promise. His nickname was more than befitting, as his level of SINCEREity will forever go unmatched and remain priceless to all who had the joy and pleasure of knowing him.
Bart’s mother, remaining siblings and his Aunt could have never anticipated this sudden tragedy. Though Bart served in the United States Army, there is no insurance to cover his funeral costs and/or transport fees to return his body home. If you find it in your heart, please help us to give Bart the funeral service, deserving of his life as a son, a brother, cousin, uncle, soldier in arms and friend.
While we understand that the holiday season is upon us, never forget that giving is not just about a donation but giving is about making a difference. Please help us make a difference.
