Funeral arrangements for Tim McKinnon

As most know, my dad was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer two days after his 60th birthday just this February. He went full force into radiation twice daily for weeks and chemotherapy as well. He was sick as a dog and exhausted but made it through, and his scan in June showed the treatment was effective and the tumor was stable with no new growth. In August, he had an MRI which revealed regrowth and in addition, metastases to the brain in over 3 dozen areas. He opted for one final round of brain radiation, which took the biggest toll on him of all. We brought him home to be with Cam, Mia and I and have been making homemade comfort meals and making him as comfortable as possible while still allowing his independence. Sunday, December 3rd, he had a fall in which he hit his head. He was physically fine from the fall, however the falls have become more frequent and led to seizures - almost 10 in a 24 hour period. We had to make the hard decision to allow Hospice to intercede so he could be comfortable and give pain medication round the clock. We know our days are very limited with him at this point and are trying to be with him as much a possible, meaning I am having to be out of work. Because of time off and money we’ve put into taking care of him, we are struggling with the financial burden of funeral services since my dad does not have any savings or any life insurance.
