Funeral Assistance For Ashley Henley's Family
On Sunday, June 13th, 2021 Ashley Henley was murdered in Yalabusha County while tending to property owned by relatives. She was a devoted wife and mother, and leaves behind the loves of her life, husband Brandon Henley and son Landon Henley. Ashley was an accomplished teacher who served many children over the almost two decades teaching in the Desoto County School system, as well as serving as a professor to many students at Northwest Mississippi Community College. In 2015 she was elected to represent district 40 in the Mississippi House of Representatives, where she stood up and fought for Constitutional freedoms and liberties at every turn. She received several awards from the American Conservative Union and Americans for Prosperity for being one of the most conservative legislators in the Mississippi Legislature. After loosing her reelection bid by a mere 14 votes in 2019, Ashley continued to make a difference at the state level by serving as a fellow for the Mississippi Center for Public Policy where she reviewed ongoing legislation. Ashley was a devout Christian, and will be greatly missed.
Her family has suffered several financial difficulties over the last few years, and one of the greatest ways we could show her honor is by helping assist her family financially with the upcoming funeral costs while they already have to grieve and deal with her loss.
GoFundMe requires that I inform you of a few things about this fundraiser since I am not the intended recipient nor a family member. My name is Dan Eubanks, I represent House District 25 in the Mississippi Legislature. I was a colleague and friend of Ashley's, and am a family friend. 100% of the funds raised (after GoFundMe's fees) will go to the family (specifically Brandon Henley, Ashley's husband). Funds are intended to help cover the costs of Ashley's funeral. A large card of the names of everyone who steps up to honor Ashley's memory, and any messages you leave on this thread. Brandon was consulted before I set this GoFundMe up, and I received his blessing to do so. Final amount and check will be photographed along with the card presented to Ashley's husband Brandon (and son Landon). Thank you in advance for your kindness. Full transparency will be provided. Please pray for her family, and thank you for donating if you can.
