Funeral assistance for Kevin Cottingham
Donation protected
Hi! I’m, Jackie Ouvry, asking for contributions to assist the family of Kevin Cottingham as they make funeral arrangements for a loved one gone too soon.
I met Kevin as a client and he became my friend, as has his sister, Alicia Jones. Kevin came home from prison in April 2021 after 47 years. He went straight to Alicia and within days sought baptism, giving his life officially to Christ. He then moved to Muskegon to join a community of returned citizens at Fresh Coast Alliance. Kevin immediately looked for ways he could contribute but he had left prison with a broken back. He longed more than anything to get his back fixed and get to work. Kevin had back surgery in January, then was able to walk without pain for the first time in nearly a year. But, infection set in and took him from his family and community far too soon.
From April 2021 to January, Kevin traveled across the state to spend every holiday with Alicia and family. He was a humble man, never asked for anything for himself. He was kind, every time we spoke he asked after every member of his team and all of my family. He was funny, if you spoke with him, you got to laugh with him.
His family had many more laughs planned. Please help them with this unexpected good-bye.
