Funeral & Burial Costs for Empress and D’Ann
Donation protected
Update 5/13
First, thank you so incredibly much for the generous donations and kind words. We will be holding a memorial service for Empress and D'Ann on May 20th at 2 pm at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas. In lieu of a guestbook, we will have a table set up to write memories of Empress and/or D'Ann or words of encouragement/love that we will then distribute to her children.
Update 4/21
I've changed the date from 4/22 to 4/29. Unfortunately, despite being separated for at least a year and a half, we are entirely dependent upon D'Ann's estranged husband to sign paper work. D'Ann and Empress were finally brought to Pierce Funeral Home this past Wednesday; however, Pierce is unable to do or schedule anything without the estranged husband's signature.
Original post
On April 5th, Dorothy (D'Ann) Horton and her youngest daughter, Empress, were involved in a horrific, fatal car accident. D'Ann's boyfriend, Mustafa Nofel Aljazairi, has been accused of intentionally driving the car into oncoming traffic during an argument.
D'Ann leaves behind five children, ages 9 through 17, who are devastated by the sudden loss of not only their mother, but their baby sister. They desperately wish to say goodbye one last time.
Empress was a sassy, outgoing five-year-old who loved to dance and draw. She adored her older siblings.
D'Ann had a big heart and loved to laugh. She was passionate about photography.
We have created this campaign to raise funds to help pay for the funeral and burial costs for both D'Ann and Empress. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. Any excess funds will go toward the care of D'Ann's living children.
