Funeral cost for Ker Thao
Donation protected
Ker Thao was born on August 1983 to Vang Yong Thao and Chor Vue. He was the youngest of their 6 surviving children: Ia, Yia, Chue, Yer, Ka, and Ker.
Ker Thao was a hardworking father and the only breadwinner in his household that consisted of his two boys, elderly father, and himself. Although he and his ex-wife went their own way, he was still a great father to his daughters who stayed with their mom by keeping in contact with them and sending them money even when he wasn’t financially stable.
He was diagnosed with kidney problems prior to COVID-19, but because he was the only breadwinner, he worked full time to make ends meet, such as paying for rent, bills, and food. All this while providing for his sons and putting their needs before his.
On May 4, 2023, Ker Thao was admitted to Methodist Emergency Center for chest and stomach pain. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with extreme heart and kidney failure. He was then transferred to Mercy General Hospital for better examination and possible treatment.
On May 9, 2023, we were informed that he had suffered two seizures and a stroke on the left side of his brain which paralyzed the entire right side of his body.
As his niece, it was difficult to break the news to my elderly grandfather that his baby boy will not be returning home, because the doctors and nurses have exhausted all their treatment plans to save him.
Ker Thao left us on May 12, 2023 at 1:20pm. He did not have any life insurance policy, so any donations, big or small, will be used for funeral services and help his sons during these hard times.
Ker Thao left behind his father, siblings, and 5 children: Natalee, Jacob, Katie, Randy, and Sally.
Any donations and sharing the link will be greatly appreciated. Please leave your name below so our family can express our gratitude.
The funeral service will be updated for those who would like to stop by and pay their respect.
