Funeral Cost Help for My Mother, Cathy Jo Nash

My mother, Cathy Jo Nash, unexpectedly passed away from lung cancer on Monday, January 24, 2022. I cannot describe how unreal it feels for her to be gone so quickly from a disease my brother and I did not even know she had.

She was a woman full of passion and contradiction. It seemed at times that her flexible and unsinkable character would allow her to go on forever. She was almost like a force of nature, shifting and rolling with every setback, always finding a way to survive. She studied science, but she loved the arts. When she didn't work in a lab, she owned a stained glass studio, made stained glass windows for others, sold tickets and merchandise for various performing arts theaters, and worked other jobs that kept her close to the visual and performing arts. Amongst many other things, she left us with that love of music and art that has guided my brother and me through our lives.

She will be cremated and her ashes sent to her hometown of Houston for burial. Unfortunately, she did not have any funds or insurance to pay her funeral costs, and we cannot cover them ourselves. So, we are asking for your help, and we are incredibly grateful for any support anyone is willing and able to give.
