Funeral Cost & Medical Bills for Greg & Dee
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dr. Tramel and I am the sister-in-law of Gregory Tramel. I am organizing this fundraiser due to multiple requests from people wanting to help his family after his untimely death. Greg was a beloved 6th grade Social Studies teacher at Kenwood Middle School in Clarksville, Tennessee for over 20 years. Greg loved interacting with his students, encouraging them to work hard, and extending a compassionate listening ear to their concerns. His exuberant personality was contagious! He was always smiling, joking, and uplifting anyone he came in contact with. It is amazing that he kept such an upbeat personality even though as a veteran, he suffered from PTSD as a result of injuries sustained in Desert Storm. He had ongoing joint pain for years, but he still smiled.
Outside of the classroom, Greg was the husband to DaShella (Dee) for 31 years, and they have two grown children, Shaun and Shawniqua. Greg enjoyed being a father and husband and took his roles seriously, he always wanted only the best for his family. Greg and Dee enjoyed many years of ministering at the Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist church as elders and musicians. A talented piano player and song leader, Greg shared his talents every week at church. His talents extended to learning the nuances of the multimedia department of the church and he made sure that everything was always ready for each service. His is going to be sorely missed at home, church, and school.

Greg and Dee were both hospitalized at the beginning of September with covid pneumonia. Sadly, after two weeks of enduring difficulty breathing and other complications, Greg passed away. We are thankful that he is at rest, waiting until Jesus returns to this earth at His second coming and calls Greg from his earthly grave. (1Thessalonians 4:13-18) This has been very devastating on our entire family, Dee's recovery has been hampered by losing her husband, and his children need our support. Your contributions will assist with funeral costs and also the ongoing recovery assistance that Dee will need upon leaving the hospital for modifications that will be needed to accommodate a walker and wheelchair. She will not be able to return to work for a long while. Thank you in advance for your support.
