Funeral cost support for Paddy (Pat) Meehan
Paddy Meehan (Pat) was a wonderful father, brother, son, friend and colleague, who touched the lives of those around him. Originally from County Meath, Ireland he moved to Newmarket in 1987 where he was employed by Lanwades Stud and remained at 3 different studs in Newmarket for the next 34 years
He had an infectious & witty personality, with a zest for all things ‘country’. Paddy dedicated all his adult life to the various stallions that were lucky enough to reside at the studs in Newmarket he worked at, his two favourites being Val Royal and Bahamian Bounty. Paddy has certainly touched the lives of many and will leave a lasting memory for everyone who knew him.
Since the devastating news of his passing, aged only 56, his family has been overwhelmed with love and support from all that knew him. As a celebration of his life I have started a fundraiser as a token of support for his family. And I would ask you all to please consider donating, big or small as this will truly help his family to support the cost of his funeral – They would love nothing more than to be able to give him the ‘big send-off’ he deserves. The funeral will take place at 10.30am on Monday 16th August at Our Lady Immaculate and St Etheldreda Catholic Church in Newmarket followed by a celebration of his life at the Heathcourt Hotel and everyone is welcome
If you are not able to support financially, a share, comment or like is equally as important and very much appreciated.
Any additional funds above and beyond the cost of his funeral will be shared between the British Heart Foundation and East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Thank you so much and rest easy Paddy, you will be sorely missed.
