Funeral Costs for Dominic Bureau

Hello everyone. My name is Kairyn, I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise some funds to help out with funeral and ceremony costs for my brother’s services.

I am the youngest of three boys, my older brothers are Yannick and Dominic. Our family is small, as we lost our biological mom when I was just seven years old and our father had never been around since we were born. Dominic was raised by our grandmother and Yannick and I were raised by our aunts. My brother Dominic tragically passed on August 21, 2021 after having been missing for weeks. The police informed us after two weeks that he had passed. I had to catch a midnight flight home from Toronto back to Edmonton to be by my brothers’ side and to help plan his services.

My brothers mean the absolute world to me and it’s been devastating trying to get everything together to send him home in a good way on top of the immense grief and anxiety I have been dealing with.

The funds are going towards paying for my flight back home to Toronto this month, to cover travel costs and gas for family to make it out to the reserve, paying for traditional clothes for my brother, medicines, and food for the feast.
