Funeral Costs for Family of Jay Garcia

Hello, my name is Kate Spiva. I am asking for our community to come together to support a family dealing with the emotional and financial burden of losing their husband and father. On Saturday, September 24, Jay Garcia tragically passed away from complications of a lengthy battle with a flesh-eating bacteria.

Jay was the husband of a fantastic woman who has been a saving grace to my family. She has selflessly given her time and love to many of our community's elderly and infirmed. She finds herself tasked as the sole provider for her and their young son while also dealing with the tremendous cost of laying Jay to rest. I ask that we come together as a community to support this family in their time of need.

Funds raised will cover the cost of Jay's cremation and services. The family will use any additional funds raised to support them through this time of great transition.

As someone who has lost a husband, I deeply understand what a blessing it is to not only limit the tremendous financial burden that loss brings but also to feel the love of a community lifting you up.
