Funeral Costs for Jaciel Beltre

Donation protected
Hi there. Recently, we suffered the very sudden loss of our friend, brother, and son Jaciel Beltre or “Jack” as he was often known.

I would like to provide his loving family with some help during this difficult time to ease their burden of suffering in a small way. Like Jack, his family members are truly good and kind people and I know that helping them would be the first thing in his mind.

We will also be holding a memorial show and benefit at Poor Boys in New Orleans on Wednesday, April 17th at 7PM for anyone who cannot donate here or would like to gather in his memory and share music together.

All funds will go directly to the family to help with funeral costs and the cost of travel from out of state and country to be here in New Orleans, the city that he loved so much.

His family wrote him a beautiful obituary, which I’ll close with below. Thank you so much for your help, I know it would have meant the world to Jack.

Jaciel Omar Beltre was born on February 24th, 1985 to Carmen and Luis Beltre in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was the third of four children; Luis Jr, Even, Jaciel, and the youngest, Lisa. Jaciel grew up in a Christian and pastoral family where church life was a centerpiece of their life.

Jaciel grew up in a happy Christian home full of laughter, joy, love, and strong bonds that have only grown stronger over time. Jaciel was a happy, joyful, and fun loving child growing up. He lit up a room with his humor, contagious smile, and his eternal optimism. This he was even in spite of suffering from health issues growing up.

In his teenage years Jaciel picked up the piano, guitar, and skateboard all which became a lifelong passion for him. At home with family you could often find Jaciel doing his favorite thing which was fixing a snack for the family and friends, cleaning the dishes to help the family, or playing music to entertain and bring happiness. Jaciel was always ready to help a friend or a stranger, often going the extra mile for anyone in need.

Jaciel was an incredibly talented musician, he loved playing the guitar, drums, piano, bass, and even dabbled with a violin. Whether he was playing at home, for church, his band, or having a jam session with his brothers or friends, Jaciel always found a way to elevate the musical experience of everyone around him. Jaciel was also a lover of history, especially history of music whether classical or contemporary.

Jaciel had many friends, which is a testament to his social personality, unconditional love for people, and compassion for those who were hurting. He cared deeply about people, which is a reflection of his parents. Jaciel was a peace maker and an ambassador of God’s love and compassion. We know Jaciel believed in Jesus and we look forward to the day we can all be reunited with him and Jesus comes to take us home.

Psalms 25:1-10
1 To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triumph over me. 3 Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause. 4 Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. 6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord. 8 Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.9 The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. 10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Jaciel will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his parents Carmen and Luis Beltre, his siblings; Luis Beltre Jr (Adrinna, Spouse), Even Beltre, and Lisa Sheridan (Damian, Spouse), and his nieces and nephmews: Julian, Sophia, Olivia, and Noah.
