On Saturday April 30, 2022, Natally Brookson, a dear friend, daughter, and sister was reported missing. Natally was missing for 10 days. Unfortunately, on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, a body was found. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 Natally’s friends and family were scheduled to identify the body, the body was confirmed to be in fact Natally.
Natally's family and friends are devastated by the news. We (her friends) are hoping to raise money to cover her funeral costs and other financial expenses. We wish to help her family in any way we can, relieving them from any financial burdens. Natally was raised by a single mother, a top student in Roosevelt High School graduating with 5th honors, and a Senior student at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) pursuing psychology while working as a dietary aide at Friedman place.
All the money raised will go towards the cost of funeral, wake, and other expenses that the family has/will have. As of now, we don’t have a definitive date of when the funeral is going to be. Any amount will truly be appreciated, we appreciate all the help and support we can get either by donating, or as simple as sharing the link to this go fund me.
If you are Natally’s family, friend, classmate, co-worker, acquaintance or if you just know Natally. Please feel free to comment a memory you have with her, we know Natally will appreciate it.
a few words from her close friends…
Natally was a dear friend of 7 years. I’ve watched Natally grow into being the amazing young woman that she was. She was selfless, loving, and incredibly talented. I was lucky to have such a supportive, and caring friend like her. She was passionate, ambitious, and everything you would want in a friend. I’ve enjoyed every moment with her. I am praying for her family and their healing.
Natally is one of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met. I wish she didn’t have to go through this, she doesn’t deserve it, even a tiny bit. Natally was a private person, it takes a bit to earn her trust, but once you become her friend, if you need anything, she’s only one call away. If you’re in need of a place to stay, one text and she will welcome you in her place. She will also cook and prepare food for you. She’s the kind of person, that if she has enough money, she will buy food for a homeless person. Whenever we would wait for the train/bus and it’s getting cold, she would gladly offer one of the sweaters she’s wearing. During studies, she will randomly get you Starbucks. She loves making her friends feel loved during birthdays, valentines day, and holidays. She also loves writing us letters and crafting us gifts as an appreciation. She’s a true angel that will forever be remembered.
I am one of Natally’s high school friends. I always thought Natally was a very cool person to be friends with. I remember her joining various kinds of sports and clubs in school. She was adventurous and independent, which I highly admire for her. But most importantly, she had a very big heart for her friends and family. Her kindness, generosity, and joy will live on everybody’s hearts forever. We will miss you, Natally.
