Funeral costs for the Brittain family
In a tragic incident a 17 year old boy was taken from the Brittain family. He was a son, brother, cousin, grandson, and friend. He was loving, kind, and would help anyone out in a heartbeat.
Hunter was unjustifiably shot and killed by a Lonoke police officer on June 23, 2021. He showed no threat, had no weapon, and did nothing wrong.
At 3am, June 23, 2021 Hunter was at a local body shop working on his truck that had been having transmission issues, he was working on it so he could get to work the next morning. Him and his cousin Jordan (15) took the truck for a test drive. On his way back to the shop he was pulled over. He pulled into the driveway of the body shop and got out and grabbed a blue jug of antifreeze to put behind the back tire because he couldn’t put the truck in park. Before he made it to the back of the truck the cop (Michael Davis) shot him three different times and killed him. No words were said to him before and he had no warning or fighting chance.
Arkansas State Police is investigating if the cop had his body camera on (evidently it has to be turned on manually) and the cop car had no dash camera.
update: the body cam was not on and the officer was fired.
There will be rallies and protests at the Lonoke sherriffs department June 23-June 24th at 6pm. Thank you to anyone and everyone that makes donations for the family and attends the rallies and protests to get justice for our sweet Hunter.
This gofundme is to help raise money for the family for funeral services.
All prayers and love for the family are appreciated and welcome.
RIL HUNTER.
