Funeral Costs for Zach Farlin

Brian Farlin: “As most of you know, we lost my oldest son, Zach Farlin, yesterday morning. We're not sure what happened yet, except that he died in his sleep from a possible medical condition.

As parents, we are not made to bury our children, no matter how old they get. And 32 is definitely not old enough to die. He may have been bigger than me, but he was still my baby.

Unfortunately, I've now lost two sons and a granddaughter. As the unluckiest of you parents know, it's a price too expensive to pay... a burden too painful and heavy to bear. It takes a piece of your heart & soul each time. It just makes you... lesser.

But the loss reaches so far beyond me... his mother Dawn, and step-mother Dena, also lost a son. My parents have lost a grandson. My sister Marcie lost a nephew. My children have lost their big brother. The rest of my family has lost a nephew & cousin whom they all loved dearly. Especially Charr, Jeremy & Kelly, & Charr's daughter, Ashley... who all were more like his siblings than his cousins.

So I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers as well, and I will be here if you need me.

Worse than my own pain, is knowing my children are in pain over the loss of their older brother is absolutely heartbreaking. And my parents' pain not only over losing a grandson, but having to see me, their son in pain as well, is also heartbreaking. It's a vicious circle. They are all trying to hide it from me right now because they worry about me, but I know it's there.

So please keep Katie & Kyle, Tyler & Caitlyn, Cody & Corinne, Danielle, Chase, Reese, Dawn, Dena & Mark, & my dad Larry & step-mom Pat in your thoughts and prayers. And especially please watch over his little brother Chase, who had to live through the pain of being the one to find his hero & big brother Zach. They were so close.

Zach's friends have lost a great pain-in-the-butt but awesome, fun guy who would do anything for anyone. Zach was loved by so many and did so much for so many as well. He had a heart of gold. When he made friends, he made friends for life... and there are too many to mention. My heart goes out to all of you for the pain you all are experiencing as well.

I apologize I havent been able to get back with everyone, but I thank all of you who have reached out so far. I want to thank Brian Blake, for always being there for Zach, and for bearing the burden of calling me. I can only imagine how that felt & how difficult it was for you.

Tiffany-Crystal and Danielle... we do this for a living, but it hits home when it affects one of your own. Thank you for being a comfort to me when I needed it. I know it isn't easy watching someone you know in pain.

Ashleigh... thank you so much for being here for me. I cherish it more than you can know..

I am blessed with the most loving family, so many great friends & caring coworkers, and most of all... great memories of Zachary; how his huge smile lit up the room, and his loud, goofy, infectious laugh that made you laugh just because he was laughing, but you didn't know why you were laughing at.

So between our love, family bond, strength, & memories of Zach, we will persevere. We will all keep Zachary alive.

I want you all to know I'll be ok, and I'll be here for you. I hurt, and I always will. But I'm still the rock you've always known.

You all know that I've always keep my babies close to me. I'll keep them even closer now, as I will all of my family & loved ones.

Zachary, my baby boy... rest easy with Grandma Mary, your big brother Adam, your baby niece Gabriella, and all our other loved ones. Give them hugs and kisses for me, and we will all be together one day”
