Funeral Expenses and Aid for the Toure Family

I am a friend of the Toure's putting together this fundraiser for them as they grieve the loss of their mother, Jeanine Goens. Ms. Jeanine passed away from stage 4 breast cancer after a seven-year battle this past Monday night, April 18th. She passed away very suddenly; her children were told that they would have at least two months left with her, but she passed in less than one month. Her family describes her as a fighter to the end who was always smiling, full of life, and maintained a positive outlook no matter what. When meeting her, anyone could see that she was very kind and generous and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She was so full of love and was never afraid to show it.

She meant so much to her children; she was their entire world, and they were very involved in her healthcare up until the end. When Ms. Jeanine was in hospice, her children all left their jobs to take care of her, including her son Lamine who had to fly back from his job in Japan and her daughter Denise who took a break from her college education to stay at home with her. Besides immediate family, all their other relatives are overseas, which left Ms. Jeanine and her children to face hospice care and her cancer battle alone. All four of her children (Saran, Micheline, Lamine and Denise) were always prepared to drop everything to support their mother.
