Funeral expenses and to help my mom retire

Hi my name is Richard Huynh and I will be asking for some aid to help cover funeral expenses and ultimately help my mom retire.

My mom known as Huong Huynh or as Julie was born 10/19/1962 in Vietnam she live there till 1983 during the Vietnam war she fled the country to escape with my dad. She was also pregnant at the time with my sister. While traveling she went into labor and had to stop in Malaysia where she gave birth to my sister on 9/17/83. They all stayed in a refugee camp till December 1983 they all arrived in the states and found my grandma and grandpa and got situated. Later on I was born December 19th 1988. We live an ok life till about may 18th, 1996 my dad past away from a car accident.

Now about my sister. Ha Ngoc Le Or known best as Lucy huynh born 9/17/1983. Lucy live a very normal life till my dad passed and then her live eventually took a turn. She gotten into the wrong crowd and did a lot of things such as gotten into drugs and developed an addiction around the age of 14. As years went by she would try to get sober but just couldn’t stick to it. She would be in an out of jail most her life and at the age of 20 she disappeared for a bit out our lives but she was in and out of it often. Later on after she gotten outta prison about over a year ago she lived with with us for bit trying to stay sober and gotten a full time job. She later met a man and started dating and moved out to live with him. She was sober for a bit but gotten back into the wrong crowd. Later on they both gone back to their own ways with addiction and was struggling and on July 8th 2023 she had passed away and was involved with a homicide. She was shot in the heart point blank and died instantly. Police are still investigating but all we know now is that her boyfriend called the police and fled so we don’t have any other information at the time on what exactly happened.

So my goal for this fundraiser is to get our story out there and to raise enough money to pay for my sister’s funeral and to also help my mom retire. My mom works 7 days a week and she is 63 still trying to support herself and household. I want nothing but the best for my mom and especially in this time of struggle she needs more help thank ever and what I can offer. Anything helps a small donation or even just sharing this.
