Funeral Expenses COVID
Donation protected
Please consider a donation to help the Haymond family lay their father to rest. The family has asked me to help fundraise for their father.
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of William Haymond. Billy unexpectedly passed away today, March 19, 2021 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Billy contracted the deadly COVID virus about a month ago. He was transferred from Tidal Health in Seaford to Jefferson this week with hopes that he would begin the long road to recovery. Instead, his health rapidly declined and he succumbed to this terrible illness.
Billy has left behind his four children, Crystal (Jamie), Christopher (Christina), Alyssa (Justin) and Jeremiah, along with his mother, Ann and grandchildren.
The family is understandably shocked and saddened by this loss and unfortunately not prepared for all that goes along with planning a funeral at this time. Billy had no life insurance, savings or funeral plans made in advance.
In addition to the loss of their father, their grandmother (Billy’s mother) has just been diagnosed with Dementia. The family is scrambling to find care for her as they desperately try to keep her at her home instead of admitting her to a permanent nursing home. Again, this was another unexpected situation that needs immediate attention. Billy was her sole caretaker and is no longer here to fulfill that obligation. There just isn’t enough money to provide the proper care for her at this time. The process to apply for extra help, additional health care coverage, home health care, etc., is very lengthy and exhausting to say the least.
If you knew Billy, you’d know that he was a hard-working, God fearing Christian that would have been too humble to ask for help from anyone. He was a father, grandfather, son, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
It’s now our turn to help Billy’s children as they deal with the loss of their father. We are raising money to assist with unexpected funeral costs, services, and medical expenses to help care for his mother, Ann.
In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill! Billy will be terribly missed by all who knew him.
Please find it in your hearts to donate to the family for help with his funeral and with his mother’s care. Every dollar helps no matter how small. If you are unable to help with a donation, please share this request with friends, family, organizations, on social media, and with churches.
We are forever grateful for any help you are able to give. Last but not least, please uplift the family in prayer. They need that now more than anything at this time. God Bless.
