Funeral Expenses for Aster

We are saddened to announce the sudden tragic death of Aster Mitke on January 21, 2022. Aster was struck by a hit-and-run driver when returning home for the night after work. The driver did not stay to call the ambulance or to help Aster after hitting her with the car. She was later found and taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arriving. Aster was only 46 years old and a mother of 2 kids, ages 16 and 9 years old.

 

The family wishes to send the body to Ethiopia for the funeral. We hope to raise funds to cover the funeral arrangement and travel costs during this difficult time. We are asking for your generosity at this time by contributing what you can and sharing with others. There will be an in-person donation collection this weekend on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 9AM - 5PM and Sunday January 30, 2022, from 1PM - 5PM at Debregenet Kidus Ammanuel Ethiopian Orthodox Church: 7100 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19142.

እህታችን አስቴር ምትኬ ጥር 21/2022 ከስራ ስትመለስ በደረሰባት የመኪና አደጋ  ሁለቱን የምትሳሳላቸውንና አይታ ያልጠገበቻቸውን የ16 አመትና የ9ኝ አመት ልጆቿን፣ ወላጆቿንና፣ ወገኖቿን ጥላ በለጋነት እድሜዋ ህይወቷ  በአሰቃቂ ሁኔታ አልፏልና አስከሬኗን ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ለመላክና እዚህም ያለውን የ Funereal Home ወጭ ለመሸፈን የእኛ ኢትዮጵያውያን የሁልጊዜውን ትብብራችንን ለማድረግ Gofundme ስለተከፈተና በቅዱስ አማኑኤል ቤተክርስቲያን ውስጥ የተዋቀሩ ኮሚቴዎች ገንዘብ ስለሚሰበስቡ ለወገን ደራሽ ወገን ነውና የተለመደ እርዳታችንን እንድናደርግ ይሁን በማለት በእግዚአብሔር ስም  ከወዲሁ እናሳውቃለን፣ እናመሰግናለን ።አምላክ የእህታችንን ነፍስ ይማርልን ለልጆቿ ለቤተሰቦቿና ለወዳጆቿ መፅናናትን ያድልልን።
