Funeral Expenses for Astere Ellen

On behalf of Astere Ellen’s family, we would like to assist the family in raising funds for her funeral arrangements. On the morning of April 1, 2023, Astere Bralyn Ellen passed away unexpectedly in Kansas City, Missouri. She was 28 years old.

Astere was born in Rialto, California to Marlon and Astena Ellen on January 24, 1995. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2017 from the University of California, Riverside. She spent the following years serving students in Los Angeles as an Americorps Member with City Year Los Angeles and then as a Leadership Case Manager for Legacy LA.

In addition to her work in education, Astere was an art enthusiast, a talented writer, an avid reader, a social justice advocate and always the funniest person in the room. Astere was a beautiful soul who approached everything in her life with passion and intention.

Astere loved the people around her deeply and brought so much joy to those in her life. Her family is incredibly saddened by her sudden death. Astere is survived by her mother Astena, her father Marlon and her two siblings Chloe and Terry. She is also loved and remembered by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her aunts, her uncle and her cousins.

Thank you so much for your support during this time. Your kindness and compassion will long be remembered. It is our hope in going forward that you will remember Astere for her smile, laughter, generosity, and love that she shared with us all.
