Funeral Expenses for Blake Raymon Andrew McCray

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Blake Raymon Andrew McCray, who was one of the individuals whose life was tragically taken as a result of the recent Columbia Mall shooting. After fighting for several days at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, he succumbed to his injuries.

He was a beloved son, brother, friend, student, and athlete. Blake was a funny, kind, caring, and loving young man, who touched and impacted all those he surrounded. He was truly one of a kind.

The love surrounding Blake came from his mother, Marshay Eaddy, father, William McCray, grandmother, Katina Sharp and his younger brothers, Brayden and Jakaii, whom he lovingly cared for by ensuring they got to school and daycare daily. Blake was also loved by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and community members.

Blake attended Oakland Mills High School where he was always admired for his ability to interact with students and staff. His social circle expanded throughout the Howard County Community. He had a special way of making people feel better about anything they were faced with. He was a true friend to many.

Blake left an immeasurable impact on his family, friends, school community, and the Howard County Community. His legacy, a testament to his love, wit, and that effortless half-smile, will endure.

Though “Gone Too Soon”, his spirit remains with us. His memory will be eternally cherished, and his presence will forever be felt by those who loved him.
