Funeral Expenses for Chris Genet

Some things I have learned in these sad, past few hours, is that it is completely ok and human to ask for help. It is ok to be vulnerable and humble. With that being said, let me tell you about Chris Genet, my brother:

Chris was a son, a brother, an uncle, a father, a grandfather and a friend. He was the most kind-hearted and funny guy you could ever have the privilege to know. He loved his children and granddaughter with a fire that some never dream to feel! He would drop anything to help you out. Chris was great at building anything and working on cars and he loved to be outdoors! My memories of him could fill hours of your time....and I am confident many others could tell you some funny stories! That's who Chris was. A great guy.

Chris was taken way too soon and unexpectedly from a hypoglycemic seizure. We had no idea. Looking back now, there may have been signs that we missed. However, Chirs wasn't always really apt to talk about how he felt. The heaviness on our family's hearts can not be put into words. Wondering, if just maybe he had medical attention at the time it happened, it would have changed this outcome. That is something we just have to live with. Chris did not have insurance. His two children (18 & 21) are left without a Father and the most heartwrenching task of planning their father's funeral, with the help of my parents. If we raise $50, we will be thankful and appreciative. If we can pay for a casket.....we would be so grateful!

All funds will go towards funeral expenses, headstone, etc. We are so grateful for the kinds words, messages, and phone calls thus far. We are hoping to start funeral arrangements soon.
