Funeral Expenses for Derrick Tolan

My younger brother, Derrick, passed away unexpectedly sometime Sunday morning August 8, 2021. He had struggled with addiction for the last couple of years and just recently was ready to change and go to rehab. He was suppose to go to rehab the day he was found unresponsive in his hotel room but his addiction was too much for him and had lost complete control.

I know he still loved his family and even was taking responsibility for past transgressions and was hoping to meet his new nephew. 19 years old is way too young and he had so much potential. We are all at a loss. He left behind his mother, 2 brothers, a sister-in-law, 2 nephews and a niece. We are deeply saddened by this and miss him dearly.

Derrick did not have a life insurance policy and we are in need of assistance in paying for his funeral expenses. Any left over funds will be donated to research for addiction and recovery. We thank you in advance for any help you can give. We love and miss you Derrick!
