Funeral Expenses for Ex-Chief Alfred Fiola
Donation protected
On Sunday July 21, 2019 Roslyn Hook & Ladder Ex-Chief Alfred "Freddy" Fiola passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. Dedicating most of his life to serving his community, Freddy joined Roslyn Hook & Ladder on October 12, 1970 and remained active and dedicated to the Fire Department up until his death. During the day time hours, Freddy could always be counted on to help get the apparatus on the road to serve and protect his community. Countless lives in the greater Nassau County community have surely been changed and even saved due to the heroic and dedicated work of our brother Freddy. Even after the cancer had confined him to a wheelchair and just 1 month prior to his death, Ex-Chief Fiola made sure to take part in the annual parade that Roslyn Hook and Ladder participates in. He did this for no reason other than his love of the Fire Service, the community he served and the friendships he made during his nearly 50 years of service.
In order to defray the costs of his funeral, please consider making a contribution so that his friends and family can give him the sendoff that he so greatly deserves. Freddy responded to nearly every emergency that he could in his many years of service and we owe it to his memory to remove any financial barriers to the service that is fitting for a hero. Rest in Peace Ex-Chief Freddy Fiola. We will take it from here.
