Funeral Expenses for Felix Durand

Hi, I am Edith Chandler and I'm raising money for the funeral of my long time partner and the father of my 5 children. He loved us very much. He was a proud father and told everyone who would listen about his children.

He could fix or build anything with his eyes closed, I used to say. Felix was born in Mahaut, Dominica. He lived on St. John, US Virgin Islands for 13 years. He came to the US in 2008 and fell in love with Baltimore, MD around 2009 and made that his home.

He was a strong, generous man. He was always the first to help a stranger. He loved his Dominican heritage and often wore the flag on his clothes. He loved to dance and was always checking on his friends and loved ones. He was talented and creative. He did not have it easy and worked very hard to provide for us. He thanked God every day, even when things were hard.

In 2021 we found out that Felix had Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer. On October 3, 2022 he closed his eyes for the last time. We did not expect this. The children and I will be ok, but I need help giving him a proper burial. Our savings has been depleted. The policies we had lapsed when there was no money to pay them. There is no disability to speak of. I never ask for help, but I don't know what else to do. Anything helps honestly, even just a prayer.
