Funeral Expenses for Gary Bernier
Donation protected
My father, Gary Bernier, was one of the hardest working and most generous people I have ever known. He was the type of guy who would stop and help anybody on the side of the road or start a conversation with at the gas station or grocery store. He loved delivering heating oil because it gave him the opportunity to meet so many people. He recently retired and was working part time at a lumber yard, yet another place with a constant flow of people. He had recently moved to a mobile home park and many of his neighbors were quick to call him a friend.
He suffered from a stroke this past weekend from which his best chance of recovery would be confined to a wheelchair and need everyday care. Anyone who knew him knows that he would not have accepted such a life. Along with his parents and brother and sister, we all agreed that he would rather pass on to the next frontier than continue on.
He did not have any kind of life insurance, so my brother and I are asking for donations to help with the funeral expenses and burial. We understand things are tough in today's economy and people are not able to give much, but any little thing helps and is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
