Funeral Expenses for Grace Knipper
Donation protected
This is Zach Knipper. My sister Gracie died yesterday, and my mom and dad are struggling to pay for her funeral. We adopted grace when she was almost 2 years old, and she was a huge part of our life since then. Grace had severe developmental delays, but a heart of gold. Gracie was unable to speak, still had to wear diapers, and required round the clock care. Despite everything, for 16 years, our life was full of Grace.
Last night I received a call when I was at work. It was my mom and dad telling me that Grace had died. I couldn't believe it. They were heartbroken. I was heartbroken. She was my first sister. We would play together so much when we were both little. In one moment, all of it was taken away from me. I realized that regardless of what I wanted, I would never be able to see my sister again.
As if that was not bad enough, I overheard that we are struggling to pay for her funeral. This year feels like it has beat every single one of us over the head, from Covid coming back, to now the loss of my sister, and all we want is to have some peace.
We all love Gracie, and are doing our best to remember that she is in a better place, and one day, we will get to see her again. Then, we will get to see the real Gracie, free of the body that trapped her. Right now, even if you cannot help give, prayers, kind words, or anything in-between is appreciated.
