Funeral Expenses For Jang
Donation protected
This is the hardest thing I have ever done. I’m not talking about raising money. I’m talking about why I’m fundraising. On Nov 27th, my 18 year old son was taken from this earth. He was taken away from his mother, sisters, brothers and taken away from me. I am raising money to pay for the total cost of his funeral. I do not have enough time or money to pay for the funeral myself, so I am asking for your help.
Our South Sudanese community has been dealing with a lot here in Omaha. Jang's mother and I, want to make sure that this is the last child in Omaha to be killed. This has got to end. We all have to come together, as a community, to put an end to this. This isn't only about the South Sudanese or the young black Americans in Omaha, it is about everyone. I do not want to see anymore senseless death in any part of this city. I will work hard to make that come true.
Us South Sudanese are no different than anyone. Our blood is all the same. No matter where you are from, we always want the best for our children. That is why I was so happy to come to America, so my children will not grow up in violence. I love this country, but if we don't do anything now, then it will get worse. We all share in this responsibility. Jang's death will be what changes everything.
My boy's funeral will be December 11th. If possible, please help. I understand if you can't.
I pray for everyone's children to be safe.
I pray for my South Sudanese community.
I pray the killings stop in Omaha.
Thank you
