Jerry and Karen Heins and family are enduring a heartbreaking loss and would be eternally grateful for any support one might consider. While Karen is still with us, our time left with her is in God's hands. Karen Heins is a beautiful woman, inside and out. She loves gardening and yard work, her beloved pets and soaking up all the sunshine and happiness she can. Her favorite things to do are spend time with her husband Jerry and her loving family. Karen is an honest woman who is always willing to listen and gives the best advice. Her laugh is contagious and her smile is bigger than she is most days. Her beauty is still bountiful, despite her most recent battle with cancer. Karen fell ill with small cell carcinoma in the spring of 2020, she had a successful brain cancer removal surgery, however the cancer had metastasized and began in her lungs. She had chemotherapy and then radiation on her entire brain and spinal cord back in 2020 and 2021. During that time, Jerry and Karen's children, grandchildren, siblings and friends have taken time out of their busy lives to ensure Karen got to and from appointments. While Karen has
fought relentlessly, her illness has prevailed and her family has transitioned along side her into hospice care. This family has endured so much in the past few years, but coming to terms with the pain of anticipatory grief has chipped away at the strength they so desperately need to rely on right now. It's time to let the family focus on Karen and the precious moments they can spend with her as she prepares to leave our Earth and reunite with those lost before her in heaven. There are not enough words to express the despair of losing a loved one. God bless the Heins family as they prepare to say goodbye to their wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
