Funeral Expenses for Krista Brown
Donation protected
On December 20th, after a day spent shopping for Christmas presents and visiting her sister, our mother Krista Brown was tragically killed by a hit and run driver while trying to make her way home. In the wake of our fathers unexpected passing just three years prior she became the absolute rock of our small but but close family circle and with her passing we lost not only our mom, but a best friend, guiding light, and unwavering morale booster in difficult times. The three of us were finally on the precipice of truly healing from losing a father and a husband, finally on the verge of joyfully celebrating a Christmas and not just gritting our teeth through it for the sake of Dad's memory when this happened, and this loss has left us more heartbroken than we ever thought possible.
With such a monumental loss of life comes staggering costs for the two brothers that remain from this working class family. We never had a true funeral for our father, and with your help we would like to lay them both to rest, side by side, at Greenwood Memorial Park so they can be near her father, sister Lisa, and other loved ones who have passed. In addition to settling the remainder of her bills, we would like to seek therapy that we can't currently afford, and care for the four pets she left behind as best we can, all of whom we treasure and will never part with.
We know that financially these are tough times for most people so any amount you might be able to give to ease our burden is infinitely appreciated. Otherwise, sharing our message and our link to this gofundme on social is just as helpful. We are eternally grateful to the friends and family who sacrificed their own Christmas plans to rally around us, and to our aunt Tricia, who our mother would be so proud of for the strength and compassion she has shown us. It all speaks volumes to the amazing woman our mother was and the impact she will forever have on countless people who had the honor of meeting her.
