Fundraiser for Kyle H. Bakken

Donation protected
The family is sadly announcing the passing of Kyle Henry Bakken. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends and military buddies.
Kyle passed away on May 15th, 2023 from a ruptured esophagus caused from his subsequent battle with alcohol.
He also suffered from PTSD and insomnia caused from his courageous battles in Iraq.

The evening of May 15th, Anna made the heartbreaking call that Kyle who is a son, a brother, a father, and an uncle was suddenly in critical condition and being rushed to the hospital. This is the one call that is and will always be sad, scary, heart dropping and it is still hard to wrap our minds around. Kyle passed away with his siblings Anna and Neal by his side reminding him how very loved, important and special he is.

Because of how quickly everything happened, we are still processing everything and we are choosing to look at Kyle’s death with our hearts and eyes open.
The loss of his physical presence has changed the lives of his children, family, and friends forever, however his spirit will remain with them always.

To all those that truly knew him, knew what a big hearted and helpful human being he was at the core.

Like us all, Kyle had challenges he faced and many positive qualities. He was funny, an awesome story teller, he could make you laugh with ease. He was a minimalist. Didn’t care much for the glitzy or monetary ‘things/stuff’ rather the time with those he loved, trusted, respected and had fun with. Spending time with his kids brought him the great joys whether that was time together with his son during the thick of Covid in MN or hanging out with his daughter in the warm, sunny days in NC.
At times he wanted to lay low and relax. Enjoyed playing video games, going to a range, workout or whatever he wanted to do by himself, because that is what he needed.
He was loving. He was helpful and a Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Friend, Leader, Soldier, and so much more.

This fundraiser is to support the sudden loss of Kyle.
Any funding will be used toward his family, unforeseen medical expenses, funeral home costs, celebration of life and to a nonprofit organization.

As a family, we appreciate and love reading all of the stories that have been shared so far.
Please continue sharing those. Continue with the positive thoughts, prayers, uplifting words from a place of essence, grace and peace.

We love you Kyle! #1
