Funeral Expenses for Lilly Howard
Donation protected
Lilly Michelle Howard, only 18 years of age, died tragically on July 19, 2022. In Lilly’s short lifetime, she lived and experienced more in life than most people see an entire lifetime. Lilly had a difficult, to say the least, childhood and because of this she had to adapt. Lilly was beautiful, smart, talented, strong-willed, and brave.
Just after midnight on July 19th, Lilly was being chased by Harrison Co IN police after they had noticed the vehicle was one that had been reported stolen. The police chased Lilly all the way from Harrison Co, IN across state lines into KY for ~ 2 miles. The vehicle became inoperable so Lilly jumped out of the vehicle and went to jump the concrete wall and fell to her death. We do not believe she realized she was on an overpass at all and just thought she was jumping to level ground on the other side. The tragedy of her death haunts us all — the fact that this was a senseless act and did not have to happen.
Lilly was a free soul that lived every day like it was her last. She was a giver and wore her heart on her sleeve. Yes, she made some poor decisions at times but she had a tattoo on her arm that said live and learn and that’s exactly what she did in this short life she was given. She should’ve had more time. She did not deserve her life to be ended like this.
Due to the unexpected nature of her passing, funds were obviously not set aside as our family never imagined having to bury such a young, beautiful woman so soon. If you feel so inclined, the family would appreciate anything you felt generous enough to donate towards her funeral expenses.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday July 28, 2022, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, IN. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday July 27, 2022, and again on Thursday July 28, 2022 from 9 a.m. until time of service at Love Funeral Home. Interment will be at Marengo Cemetery
