Funeral Expenses for Luke Cooper

3/31/23 UPDATE ** "I’ve started and stopped writing this thank you several times because words don’t seem like enough.

What happened is one of every parent’s worst nightmares and just like everyone, I wish there were a way for this to never happen to my family or anyone. In the midst of this horrible tragedy, my family and I have been blessed with an overwhelming amount of love, empathy, and support. I thank each and every one of you for your kind generosity to our family. I could never have imagined the amount of love and support we’ve received from not only our closest friends and family but the entire community, the Moon Area School District, co-workers, and the ever-faithful hockey family – including the Pens!

A piece of my heart is gone, and I don’t know what the future looks like. I’ve always known the unique and caring person Luke was. It is heartwarming to hear just how much he touched many others. I’ve been comforted by countless stories from friends. I will continue to look up to Luke and honor him for his example and his love for life."

On Wednesday March 22, 2023, a young vibrant soul with a contagious smile left this earth way too soon! Luke Cooper was involved in a tragically fatal car accident.

He was an energetic young man who had a love for hockey! Those that have seen him play could see it in his face with the sparkle in his eyes that lit up the rink.

My name is Deena, and I am part of Luke's hockey family. While his Mother, Brother, family, friends and community grieve this unimaginable loss, I am asking for donations to help his family with funeral expenses.

3/25/23 UPDATE: The overwhelming amount of love, support, kindness, empathy, and generosity from so many is astonishing. Cooper's family will be able to use these funds to commemorate and honor Luke's love for life while laying him to eternal rest and taking time to heal without the worry of finances for a little while.
