Funeral Expenses for Mayfield Family
Donation protected
On Thursday February 3rd,2022 my nephew Dillion Dobbs passed away in his sleep. His body was found by my grandfather Larry Mayfield, who then in a moment of despair, took his own life. This tragedy has shaken our family to the core. The circumstances of my nephews passing are under investigation, however the GBI has stated to the family that they believe the cause of death to be from natural causes.
Dillion was on the Autism Spectrum, and had a heart condition. He had recently been ill, and 2 other immediate family members living in the house have tested positive for COVID-19. Although we do not have confirmation, it is our belief that my nephews heart could not handle the stress from COVID, which caused him to pass in his sleep.
My nephew was raised and cared for by his great grandparents Dell and Larry Mayfield, grandmother Bethany King, his father Nathan Dobbs, and great Uncle Terry Mayfield and Aunt Tia Mayfield. They were loved and cared for by so many in the community. However, love does not pay for funerals.
I have created this to help my family give a proper good bye to my nephew, Dillion. Any other additional funds raised will go to my grandmother to help her get her life back to normal when she returns home.
