Funeral expenses for Nanay Myrna Dabu

Dear family and friends,

With great sadness, we announce the sudden loss of our dear mother, Myrna Dabu.  Nanay battled a very aggressive meningioma brain tumor discovered when she had a seizure 6 months ago last September 2021. She immediately had her first cranioctomy. She recovered well, reminding us of every medication she had to take, remembering every appointment she had and with which doctor, walking on her own until the tumor grew again within 3 months, much larger than her first. Drastically, she began to feel weak, losing her senses and muscle control, paralyzing her body's entire right side and causing depression.  Nanay had such high tolerance for pain. After being released from the hospital a week prior due to seizures, dizziness, and headaches, she requested to be retaken for the 3rd time. She underwent her 2nd cranioctomy after doctors discovered another significant tumor too large for radiation.

She wanted to spend more time with us and fought hard with all her strength, but her body could not take it any longer. Our parents retired in the Philippines after 30 years of working in Guam. Our parent's visit to Las Vegas was to fulfill our family's dream of being together again after the loss of our brother, Michael, 14 years ago. Thank you for fighting Nanay. Thank you for a beautiful childhood, for all the sacrifices, generosity, and love you provided your six children and your loving husband.  

We are devastated by her passing and are genuinely struggling to fund the cost of current and future funeral expenses. Our Tatay wishes to bring her remains back home to the Philippines so that Nanay will be with her siblings, other family members, and friends.
