Help us send Nico home to be buried

We are saddened to announce the untimely passing of a beloved son, brother, nephew and friend, our Nicholas Mayoba. We are absolutely devastated by his passing. It has been a very dark time for our family as we try to cope with the pain of losing Nicholas whom many called “Nico”.
Nicholas was a hard working, loving and friendly person who touched the lives of everyone around him.
Nicholas is the third born in a family of 6, first son of his mother. He was never married, had no kids. His favorite thing to do of all time was playing soccer. He was a man of simple ways, loved his family and always had a smile when he was talking.
He loved the opportunity he had of coming to America and living his best life, though he never forgot those that he had left back in his homeland. He took on the responsibility of looking after his grandmother, he hired a caretaker for his old grandmother, and he paid school fees for his nieces. He had such a big heart and lived to make the lives better for the ones that he cared for.
The purpose of this GoFundme is to help the family return his body back home to Zambia, where his only living grandmother is waiting to see her grandson for the very last time. Costs include the funeral home in Washington state and transporting the deceased to Zambia, where he will be laid to rest.
Please consider helping us reach our goal. We are so very grateful for every contribution during this difficult time. No amount is too small- Thank you very much in advance.
